Epic Service Winners - Meet Misty

At Vail Resorts, our core values guide and ground us and our work. Last winter, more than 1,000 team members were recognized for putting service-based leadership into action. Twenty-five team members were recognized as Epic Service winners for their emotional intelligence, inclusivity and operational excellence. Now, we’re excited to tell their stories throughout the winter season.

Meet Misty – In her 11 months working in security at Stevens Pass in Washington, she completely transformed the famous RV parking lot, and her hard work didn’t go unnoticed. A colleague nominated Misty for an Epic Service Award for her ability to step in as a new team member and change the lot for the better. Kaleb Lange, who nominated Misty says, “Prior to Misty’s arrival, people didn’t know where to park, there was not enough room for everyone, and folks that didn’t have a reservation just showed up. Since Misty has arrived, many guests observe that there is now a staff presence and guests comment on how Misty remembers them, personally cleans their spots, and things have been much calmer.” Misty’s dedication to serving others positively impacted the guests in the RV lot and all the team members on her team at Stevens Pass. Great work, Misty!
