Vail Resorts Honored for Women in Leadership

Last week Vail Resorts was honored at the Women’s Forum of New York’s Breakfast of Corporate Champions for our commitment to gender diversity, and we couldn’t be prouder. Just over 230 companies were recognized, yet we were one of only 78 companies in the S&P 500 and Fortune 1000 to have achieved 50% or greater female board representation. Today, five of our ten board directors are women and nearly half of our executive committee members are women. We are equally as proud to have many women running our mountain resorts – including Whistler Blackcomb, Vail, Park City Mountain, Crested Butte, Stevens Pass, Northstar, Stowe, Crotched, and Hotham.

In 2021, Kirsten Lynch made history by becoming Vail Resorts’ first female CEO and the highest-ranking woman in the ski industry. Not only was Kirsten’s appointment historic at Vail Resorts – she remains the only female CEO among Travel & Leisure companies listed on the Fortune 1000 list.
